Developing and validating integrated telematic tools and services to enable healthcare professionals to
cooperate effectively towards improving quality, consistency and cost-effectiveness of care across Europe!
MARGRITE aims to assure interoperability and interconnectivity between the various
national bone marrow donor and patient data banks in Europe, while taking account
of European regulations concerning confidentiality and data protection. By
facilitating access to such data banks by transplant teams, their therapeutic
choices will be optimized.
MARGRITE also constitutes the European component of an effort to
interconnect bone marrow donor and patient banks on a global basis, which is being
pursued in the framework of the G7 Global Healthcare Applications Project.
